WWE 2K22 Extreme Rules (Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey)

Liv Morgan defends the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match. In July, Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match; later in the evening, she successfully cashed in her contract against Rousey to win her first SmackDown Women’s Championship. Rousey would invoke her rematch clause weeks later at SummerSlam; at the aforementioned event, Morgan controversially defeated Rousey. After the match, Rousey would attack both Morgan and the referee, being suspended as a result of her actions. After Morgan defeated Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle to retain the SD Women’s Championship, Rousey would win a Fatal 5 Way Elimination match on the September 9 SmackDown (defeating Xia Li, Lacey Evans, Natalya, and Sonya Deville) to become the No. 1 contender for the SD Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules. The next week, Morgan revealed the match would take place under the stipulation of Extreme Rules. Two weeks later on SmackDown, Morgan and Rousey engaged in a brawl that had to be separated by security.
