Van Life In The Arctic - PART TWO - Winter Content has always been a huge hit here on Living The Van Life. This winter season, I just was not satisfied with driving to a snowy parking lot and setting up camp. So instead I decided to see what it would take to live in a van in the extreme climate of the arctic. Join me in part 2 of a 3 part series as I drive my 2020 Mercedes 4x4 Sprinter Van to the Arctic Ocean.

Chad, your travels and documentation are on level with epic series like “Long Way Around”. Except they had a support and film crew. Your solo adventures are inspiring and amazing! Thank you for letting us be part of it.

These shots with the drone while the Sprinter is driving...absolutely epic. The production quality is out of this world at this point.

Been watching this channel for a very long time now. As a guy who works in video Postproduction for more than 15 years, the growth in quality, content and narration is uncanny. This is pro quality content Chad. Congratulations!

My wife and I had the privilege of living in Northern Alberta, Canada for a few years. This adventure of yours brought back great memories. I was awed by the beauty of the landscape. It all seems very sacred to me when I open my eyes to the beautiful complex world that was created for us all to live in.

Stunning cinematography, editing and storytelling; not to mention the steel cojones needed to take on the challenge of such a journey alone. Huge kudos to you.

Critically important: In temperature like that, start your engine every couple of hours, don't let it seat frozen all day or night, or have engine antifreeze heater system active. Second, do you know what engine oil you use? It's gotta be specific oil for arctic temps to avoid engine damage. Pay special attention to tires, rubber can become brittle, so make sure to keep proper pressure to avoid excessive flexing which may cause some cracking in rubber.

The quality of your Arctic productions is incredible. Probably the highest quality I've seen from any YouTuber. Well done and kudos to you.

To call this trip "epic" does not do this adventure justice. Absolutely an incredible accomplishment to not only complete the trip, but to document it as you have and take us along for the wild ride. Would love to know the your thoughts on the things you did to prepare, got right, got wrong and the behind the scenes challenges. Something as simple as drone flight had to have been a struggle operating in that temperature range. Incredible series and looking forward to seeing the rest if it.

Your camera work is excellent and the fact that you have to turn around and pick up your cameras for some of the shots that you do must make the trip twice as long. Also your drone work is fantastic I’m surprised they work in below zero temperatures. You definitely have a lot of balls doing this by yourself .mad props!!

Hear me, you brave man! Coming from cold Norway myself, sitting in a warm living room waiting for warmer times. You have my deepest respect for what you achieve. And as usual, incredibly beautiful shots of nature made me (almost) welcome the winter back.

"Living the van Life" more like "living the dream" . the way it filmed and edited with those drone shots is absolutely amazing.

LTVL was the first YouTube series I ever watched. The quality of videos and the patience practiced to place the camera and then go back to recover them is remarkable. Chad+ you are a true inspiration to those of us with a pioneer’s heart. Thanks for this effort. It is truly an adventure and a testimony to your preparation of you equipment. You literally put your life on the line to traverse this region.
