I was watching that game when his injury happened, I almost threw up my food, but props to him to be able to bounce back from that serious injury. Most athletes couldn't do that.

220 days later Kevin Ware went back to playing basketball. He didn't even wait a year to return. He came back after a little bit over 7 months. His mental toughness is out of this world. For such a horrific nightmare inducing injury like that, I'd imagine that he'd take at least a year to come back or more realistically, just never go back to the court.

That's an extremely tough thing to even try and come back from. Mad respect. This kind of stuff is what pisses me off when media says "we got no news. nothing worth talking about at all today."

A compound fracture or a fracture in general tends to heal better than tendons and ligaments (aka ACL, Achilles Tendon, etc.)

Man I remember watching that game live…seeing the injury…then the replay…then the replay again but watching the bench react…I damn near threw up…but good to see he recovered and still playing ball.
