Very nice tutorial. A couple of things to correct:
- Transaction confirmation is not obtained with just a single reference from another transaction. That's an approval and it mean that one other user consider that transaction valid. To reach the confirmation a long chain of approves is needed and it will arrive as fast as higher is the network usage.
- Smartcontract will not be "off tangle". "Off tangle" like "off chain" means that some information regarding by the application (the smartcontract in this case) are not stored in the distributed ledger (normally to gain higher performance). This is not the case for IOTA Smartcontracts. Simply the smartcontract status is stored in a sort of private blockchain build using Tangle transactions as simple data container. everything happening in the smartcontract is actually stored in the Tangle. This is called "layer 2" application simply because not all Layer 1 nodes are required to analyze the data produced by the smartcontract and express an opinion.

I do get paid every day if I want, but it costs 3 dollars to request part of my paycheck up to 100 dollars a day. Both of my employers are linked to my payday app. If I need money before payday I load the app and select how much I want... 5 seconds later it's in my checking.
