People with Diabetes are constantly being barraged with bad nutrition advice. Here's a great example of a very unhelpful article from one of the largest news websites in the world. If you follow this advice you will be hungry and have to snack all the time, while also increasing the cost of your groceries. Beware of article like this from any news source...

I received an email from Melissa Rudy of Fox News a few hours after I posted this video. Hopefully we'll be able to put together an interview that will help people with diabetes know which foods are best!

Before she passed away my mom's doctor said she could eat chocolate, if it wasn't milk chocolate. She could drink orange juice, if it was natural. She could eat raisin bran if she added extra raisins and used skim milk. Brilliant advice for a 70 year old obese woman on insulin. I told her to get off carbs and sugar and eat meat and eggs. My fat family thinks I am the crazy one. It's sad

When the American Diabetes Association gives out crap advice, you can't expect news sources to do any better.

Why are dieticians still recommending seed oils?! I’m a psychiatrist and have learned I cannot refer my patients to mainstream dietitians anymore. They are harmed by them.

Call them out on this foolishness. Carbs are ruining our health

Dr. Berry, thanks for getting pissed off on our behalf. 👍🏻

In 2016 I was diabetic and seeing a dietician. She recommended 3 meals and low calorie snacks twice daily. I said too much food. She still insisted 1 snack. In 2017, I was on Metformin and insulin. Later that year I found keto on the YT. By 2018 I was no longer diabetic. I have yo-yo'd between diabetes and remission for the past 4 years. Addiction is tough. In January 2024 I went Canivore. As of June 2024, my diabetes is in remission, and I am a carnivore for life. A1C is now 5.6. There is so much information available. Dieticians never tell you that you can put your diabetes in remission. Neither do Doctors. Thank you Dr Berry for your dedication to help people be healthy.

They always say this or that “slows” sugar absorption. Try not eating the sugar and you don’t have to worry how fast it is absorbed. 🤔

Denzel Washington said "If you don't watch/read the news, you're uninformed. If you watch/read the news you're misinformed". Classic example

When my husband was first diagnosed with type two diabetes, the dietician showed us a shelf in her office of all the foods that he could eat. Not once did she mention meat, fish, chicken or eggs. Every box on the shelf was processed food, most of them containing artificial sweeteners, flour, oats, and other crap. My husband looked at me as I stared in absolute shock at the shelf and then back at the dietitian. He looked at her and said, "I think my wife will handle the food as she doesn't buy low fat, no fat, and processed junk like that. Thank you very much for your time." He then held me by the hand and walked me out of that office before I laced in. This was 12 years ago. If my husband had've
walked out of that office, doing exactly what she said, he would've been dead in two years. I feel so strongly that her money for her education was well wasted. It's sad people don't realize this. If something says low-fat or no-fat on the container ...run. If the container says no sugar added, check out the label and see what sweeteners are in it. We know pilots are affected neurologically by artificial sweeteners and some have actually passed out on a plane by eating aspartame and all the bad artificial sugars. Why would we do that to ourselves or our children? Support Dr. Berry and his crew for their mission on diabetes. I am grateful you are alive, Sir, and I am encouraged by your message and I will support your mission to bring awareness.

Watching from Kentucky, my doctor set me up with a nutritionist. After finding out I was a type 2 diabetic. Well, to say the told me to eat bread, fruit and drink milk. Fat free milk of course. I knew then they are seriously trying to kill me. 😢

They didn't get it wrong, they got it just right for their shareholders.

I’m a diabetic. You are 100 percent correct. Endocrinologists don’t promote the correct food either

Some of the WORST dietary advice that my wife received as a type 2 diabetic was from a nutritionist. Unfortunately, my wife followed the advice and got worse and worse. She eventually passed away. I have since found you Dr Berry. Thank you for helping so many people!!!❤

When i was first diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, i was sent to a seminar on the subject. The lady giving the seminar talked extensively about what foods TO EAT. They included pasta, rice, whole wheat bread and potatoes, but in small quantities. She lost me right there, and I didn't trust that anything else she said was correct. This is inexcusable. People are so harmed by such nonsense.

I don't watch the news any longer. All they do is lie.

My mom just got out of the hospital where they were feeding her "diabetic meals". These meals included sandwiches (bread), orange juice, fruit and pudding. Horrible.

Wow - This is a terrible article! It almost looks like a list on how to become diabetic and how to stay that way! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Their recommendations are pretty much aligned to advertisers, that is the reality: always follow the money!!!
