Don’t use copper with steel screws. Over time the copper will react with the steel and cause a Galvanic reaction, which will drastically weaken the steel

If a hole for a hinge is stripped, you need to fill it in such a way that the screw stays centered or the hinge will be knocked out of alignment, as can be seen in the first two examples. Your third method is the only one that really worked.

The REAL problem is because lazy people use a drill driver instead of a standard manual screwdriver. The drill driver strips the screw hole threads, enlarging the hole, which requires filling with something. Stop over driving the screws will prevent this from becoming another step.

Or just move the hinge left or right and use new holes.!!😅

I don’t care for anyone of those repair methods. I don’t believe they will hold a hinge screw for very long.
