I feel their relationship is a sad one because he's cheated and done some stupid stupid stuff. I feel what she's really meaning when she says she represents herself is that it's come to a point where she doesn't care what he does anymore. He does his thing she does hers. It's really really sad because she'll never divorce. What is the point in being in a relationship if you're not a team. This doesn't mean codependent. But if you're going to unite shouldn't it be to be happier and stronger together? These arrangements make me sad because it's like we want to live parallel to our partners, not integrate with them. That's not a relationship that's a bargain.
