Please give us the Christman gift of offering the LT6 as a crate engine. It's such an amazing piece of engineering, can you imagine the possibilities!? I want to see an LT6 powered restomod ASAP!

Third time I have been fortunate to hear a Jordan and Dustin LT6 information seminar. You two work so well together and are great teachers for us to take super care of, and to have real understanding of what makes our Z06’s work outstandingly! Thank you both!

The new Corvette owner who released a video about his new Corvette whose engine broke down after just 53 miles brought me here. This information ℹ️ doesn’t just pertain for new Corvettes, but all new cars when it comes to proper break-in periods.

Speed Phenom did it right and picked his up at the factory and drove it home to California. Break in done while learning all about the car

The Corvette C8 Z06 is more than just a car; it's a symphony on wheels. With its naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 flat-plane crank, every press of the accelerator unleashes a melody of pure power. At 670 horsepower, this masterpiece sings like no other, resonating through the soul of every driver who dares to experience its raw, untamed potential. Each note from the exhaust is a reminder that the Corvette C8 Z06 is not just about speed—it's about the art of performance, where engineering and passion collide in perfect harmony.

In days past it was standard procedure to change the oil of a new / rebuilt engine after 500 miles. Can't believe they didn't talk about this.

Where can I get that dexos type-R oil, I want to try it in my wife's Kia.

biggest thing for break in is the heat and cool cycles of engines and drivetrain components because as things heat up they expand and tolerances change. same with cooling down they shrink, thats why you always let your engine warm up for a little bit before you start driving and let it warm up to full temperature before you start hammering on it.

Hi @Chevrolet, are piston rings effectively seated after the engine dyno done during manufacturing and the remaining 500 mi is mostly for bearings surfaces?

This video is DEFINITELY NOT directed at TheStradman! 😂

How about Carbon Ceramic Brakes? I heard some of the early Z06's have squealing brakes. How do you break in the CCBs?

@Chevrolet what are you doing about the main stream ticking in majority of the LT6? As well as the car dumping fuel and air cavitation?

Guys, I'm a long time Corvette fan, I spend a lot of time on the forums, and I think I speak for the vast majority when I ask if you can PLEASE give us a deep purple and a lime green color option. Many are unsatisfied with color options and I think we all need some more "exotic" colors to go with such an exotic looking car.

So, is every LT6 engine run on a dyno before being placed into the car, is that what I infer?

I would love to know the definition and parameters of street driving.

Hellcats engines also been tested on the dyno.

When will you make a affordable 2 door economy car? I’d buy one instantly. Consider it. I want a 2 car car but you only make a 2 door car that’s over 25K.

Is this GM doing damage control already because of the Z06 engine that blew? I thought the engine's were restricted from over revving? They automatically restrict you from revving too high according to mileage?

Everyone should know that on a new supercar after the end of the break-in period you must change the engine oil and the oil filter to remove metal residue from this new engine. Chevy must put it in the user manual and the periodic review book.
