I get my eggs from a farmer in Texas that's 100% pasture raised on clean land. The egg yolk is a glowy orange color and tastes delicious even when eating it bland.

Be careful sometimes they feed the chickens with cheap and dyed GMO corn to achieve this orange yolk colour. Make sure you check the labels first.

Paul, you inspired our family to buy a ranch property separate from our house but close by to raise our own food. We have bees, cattle, turkeys, and 50 laying hens to feed our family of eight. We are currently getting over 30 eggs a day, and I felt a little sheepish selling some of our abundance of pastured corn-free soy-free eggs at the true price of what they are worth. This video gave me the confidence that we are offering the best quality to our local community and if they think it's worth it, then they will buy them.

Whenever I watch Nigella cooking shows, her egg yolks are the most extraordinary bright golden orange colour I've ever seen. I'd heard she has her eggs flown in from a farm in the south of France, lol. But every time I see them i have serious yolk envy. I've never seen one like that, even from pasture raised hens.

We raise own. Depending on their natural food, the yolks can get even darker than shown. Shells are often thicker as well. Thank you Dr. Paul.

Love seeing the bright orange color and they taste so much better.

They can color it, so the ultimate test is flavor and how you feel afterward and next day.

I’ve done extensive research on this. Although the nutritional qualities are the same, the color is definitely different which itself yields a different eating experience which is why all of my chickens are free range.

I get my eggs as a 15 pces carton of large free range eggs from the store brand here in Finland and it looks like the pasture raised one. Darker, orange and good.

Heh :):) People, I work in chemical company in Poland. When we come to farmer we have pallete of colours of egg yolks. They can chose whatever they like. So please do not suggest yourself, quality of eggs by colours of egg yolks.

I have to say I just noticed the other day that their shells are very thin and brittle too. I never noticed that before until I went to boil some and every single shell busted! Wth!!! Yeah, next time the grocery is out of my eggs, I'll wait, thank you very much!

You are correct but do compre white egg to white egg and brown to brown . White eggs are naturally lighter in colour than brown ones . What matters is not the colour of the eggs but what the chickens eat .

Paul....given your tenure as a cardio P.A. would you suggest anything different for someone that has had a bypass and is in high blood pressure medications than you push ...asking as someone that had a bypass?

In the Netherlands there are a lot of problems with PFAS, microplastics in eggs that are actually from chickens who roam outside

So, I bought organic pasture-raised eggs from a local grocery store and the yolks resemble the light yellow more than the dark yellow yolks. Perhaps this isn’t the best method to determine?

Putting nutrition aside, this is the most natural way you can get eggs, the best way.

After going through med school, would you recommend it or would DO schools line up more with animal based living?
