honestly, the fact one is picking relatively mainstream (although not void of quality), and one with the more critically-approved picks, and the other being comic relief makes for a more entertaining video than had they basically just made a collaborative top 12 list

I'd take:
1. Mac Miller - for his vulnerability, overall music ability and deep personal themes which I could really relate to. He drove me threw the hardest times.
2. Nas - The GOAT of the game, dropping some really good stuff even deep into his 40's. Sympathetic humble man with great storytelling, flow and some of the most definitive catalogs.
3. JID - Currently one of the best rappers in the game with three really nice albums I could bump on every day. The Forever Story should have won that damn Grammy. Let's see what is about to come.
4. 2Pac - I feel his presence even after those years he's not here and I wasn't even alive in the 90's! Really motivating and really interesting human being. He showed me how to be more confident and stand for what I love.
