Most people seem to like the MV7 more but I for some reason love the sound of the revelator. Awesome vid, thanks for this :)

Thank you for the comparison! What's with the negativity in the other comments. Wow... Anyway, I do believe the sound was better from the MV7. There was a noticeable hiss when you switched. Also, the icon is great! Does pick up a lot of background noise though. Ever check out the Ethos? I picked one up a couple weeks ago. Damn good mic! But does require an interface. Thanks again!

The levels sound wrong on the Revelator... or something's wrong with the sound, with that booming sound in the background that sounds very "microphonish"... know what I mean? The Shure microphone sounds absolutely fine.
I've looked through various Youtube microphone reviews and it seems to me that unless you spend over $200 you may as well get cheap but good in the $50 range because from what I've heard of their sound quality, the $100-ish mikes don't sound any better than the $50 ones.

Stupid test.. The Revelator's distance is like 3x far away so its gunna pick up way more room nose cause its at a higher gain
