Amanda Bynes in Danger of Relapse?

Amanda Bynes is OFF her medication, and according to her mom the star doesn't suffer from any kind of mental illness and there was a different cause for her behavior last year!

Bynes has seemingly been doing well for the past few months enrolling in FIDM and working on fashion, with no episodes in the public eye—but this could all change according to TMZ.

Amanda's mom has taken her off her medication, which sources say is an complicated mix of RX drugs to treat her Schizophrenia, because Amanda's mother believes her daughter does NOT in fact suffer from Schizophrenia or BiPolar disorder.

Lynn is claiming that all of Amanda's problems were the cause of her weed use. In a statement to Us Weekly, Lynn says, "She is very sorry for all the hurtful tweets, statements and actions that occurred while she was under the influence of marijuana." She continues on saying, "Amanda has no mental illness whatsoever."

Amanda's layer Tamar Arminak also made a statement saying, "She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health diagnosis private. However, she asked me to dispel certain rumors. For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it."

Sources tell TMZ this NOT true and that they are 'alarmed and fearful', but according to people close to Amanda, all is well with the new change.

Amanda's lawyer also spoke out about what's to come for Amanda saying, ""She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She's never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she's proud to say she's been marijuana-free for the past nine months."

Bynes is still under the care of her mother and father, Lynn and Rick, and we really do wish the best for the star and hope that this decision isn't a cause for relapse, but a change for the better!

I know a lot of people who use marijuana and don't act anything like that. I think she has an underlying mental problem that maybe her mother doesn't want to admit. I really hope the best for her health...

I studied schizophrenia in psychology class and even I, who am in no way a doctor, can very easily tell she is schizophrenic. It's not even like it's a mild case or questionable - she shows all the signs of having it and acts just like any schizophrenic would. So I'm pretty sure her mom is unwilling to believe her daughter needs the meds and is even is at all.
