Havoc producing most of these classic Mobb Deep songs at 19 isn't spoken about enough, one of the greatest to ever do it

Havoc was definitely the dark magician of hip hop sampling. The fact that people can't find the original samples to some of his tracks until years after they've been released is astounding, not to mention some of the coldest beats in the game.

This sample was recently found, after 20 years.

That grimey beat with Prodigy and Havoc's vocals, fucking legendary.

Damn... this might be the best sample I have ever heard. Better than just chopping and rearranging random bits from a song, this has true artistic flair.

Hell on Earth iirc was a massive influence to Clams Casino. Not too surprising as Havoc was a student of Q-Tip and really nailed atmospheric production at the time. Murda Muzik really rivals Chronic 2001 imo for best mixed/mastered rap album of the 90s. That shit sounds so good on crazy speakers. Havoc is one of the greatest.

Unbelievable - I was certain it's just a looped sample. Havoc is a master producer

I can’t fucking belive that you found that Sample. Seraching it for yrs how Havoc did that. Mobb Deep had crazy & brutal Beats in the 90s. That shows why they‘re in my Top 5 Rap Group ever. It’s fucing amazing.

RiProdigy. Mobb for Life🐐

It’s amazing to me how producers like Havoc can take a sample but break some pieces off and rearrange it so the melody is something else entirely and yet sounds good.

this and shook ones 2 are crazy. They sound off-beat and weird until the drums are added, and they somehow click. It's making the most out of a very small sample, and I really appreciate that.

Havoc is insane man🔥🔥🔥, I'd love to have half the talent he has at production/Beatmaking.

Even seeing the sample layed out it’s still hard to conceive how he manipulated the sample so crazy

I love the focus on Mobb Deep recently! This sample is amazing, but what makes Mobb Deep so great is not just the beat, but the lyrics that go with it. Grimy street life stories, but always beautifully written. Not many can hit it with the music and the lyrics and the vocals, but they are part of the few that can consistently nail all three.

Very similar method to Shook Ones II, and a lesson in true creativity with limited tools. Havoc is a beast.

This is crazy. I don't even understand how you even think about doing something like this. Havoc is a monster.

The sample was found by Xeno, I then made the breakdown on my channel and now tracklib perfected it. Hope we discover some more samples like this one🔥
