UPDATE: Now that the game is out you can actually try the online modes I couldn’t try in this video and people are reporting server issues galore. Check your specific platform, but it seems that online multiplayer isn’t viable right now. 😢

One things EAs Battlefronts really missed out on was the sense of scale.

Boarding a ship in BF 2 to destroy it was incredible.

It really pisses me off knowing all EA had to do was literally finish Free Radical's cancelled SWBF3 and they would have been set and everyone would have been happy. But instead we got a SW game drought and insane loot box backlash. I really hope Aspyr won't abandon this after launch with updates like patches and stuff. I mean I would also love it if they ported over maps from Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron as dlc, but that's probably not going to happen. I also would love to see workshop support or mod support in general and cross platform multiplayer bc let's face it, we all know this game will need it, especially the Switch version

Already bought it and plan on playing it with my dad tomorrow night. We used to conquer the galaxy together all the time. Don't get as much time to game together anymore so looking forward to it.

i used to play bf2 with my dad in his trailer on the weekends after him and my mom got divorced, this game really brought us closer together while we did galactic conquest, i would always ask him if he wanted to take over the universe as my way of asking if he wanted to play. many good nights were had with this game and i can't wait to relive this again while he's going through chemo

Also my theory as to why millions loved the Classic games is because 100% of their content was available offline, so that when the servers shut down there was no loss of experience. As well, DLC didn’t take up nearly half the content offering (BF2015), nor did it lose nearly everything going over to its successor (BF2017). I just hope the public loves it and isn’t too cynical. This needs to send a strong message to EA/DICE/Disney.

Nah this game's launch has been an absolute disaster with online multiplayer issues and terrible bugs galore. Idk how in anyway this is "awesome" compared to the original releases (which are backwards compatible on Xbox btw)
