Voters in the East Bay appear to be in favor of recalling Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao and Alameda County DA Pamela Price, early results show. Bob Redell reports.

Zero homicides in the city of Oakland - what the heck is she talking about? don't live in Oakland but we're glad she's gone. Oakland needs to be safe again. My grandparents lived and owned a home in Oakland as far back as the 50's.

The DA for sure is misguided. She is trying to do Public Defender's work in the DA's office. She is on the wrong side of the table and her work history is on the defending side of the table, she is not a good fit for Oakland. The Mayor did inherit a very poor situation but I do not know how much she clearly articulated that in the beginning, as that would have been a good thing to communicate to the residents of Oakland. However, she miss out on an important grant that could have brought Oakland some money to address crime and she has not been transparent with the sell of the Coliseum which impacted the city.

She twisted the A's part though. She was a part of the decision for A's to leave in year 1, in internal discussions. Once the news got out, she rightfully stood her ground, knowing consequences. Like, at least own that part of the timeline.
