So multiplying square matrices would seem to be easiest right, cause the resulting matrix would eb the same as the two and you don't need to check the numbers right?

This is actually a question I had, it's a fraction problem but a tough one I was confused on solving, here it is, it's more difficult than I expected "Bill is throwing a party. He wants to buy a pound and a half of mixed nuts. 1/3 is almonds, 2/3 are walnuts. The total cost is $7.50. The almonds cost $4 a pound. How much do the walnuts cost?"
