How to Make an Urn. I had a subscriber reach out and ask if I could make an urn for his late wife. So in this video I take you how to make a simple box and then make it “fancier”. I hope you never have to make an urn for a loved one, and only fancy boxes!

I was talking with my wife about making a final resting place for loved ones last night. You post this today. Coincidence? I think not. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation to continue the project!

My father in law passed away last night. Had a full heart transplant and had a deadly stroke in the surgery and never woke up. I think I will make this for my mother in law. Thank you

Hey Nick nice urn I like what you did with the accent pieces on the side and on the top.... I just finished my daughter's urn she passed due to a short illness, it was, like you said somber but very satisfying. Love your channel, in the way you speak out about your personal issues keep it up bud

A great job. I have run into the same issues with making 45 deg cuts and not being square. That is even after upgrading my mitre saw and truing it. It really is best to cut the pieces a bit long and use your table saw sled to get an accurate 45 - after truing the sled and the blade.

Excellent recovery Nick. I have done the same.

I have found that using a bit of 3M and a small paint brush that I can 'pull' the Lichtenburg arc around in a design, half moon, quarter moon, heart...

It is really neat pulling the burn in that manner.

Again, great job.

*Very nice Nick!* I did one last year for a friend also. And now, unfortunately, I have to do another one for a family member 😒 I'm doing this one with a photo engraving, a prayer and an inlaid piece of Mahogany with her name & dates in an Oak frame. I'm going to use a padded silk interior.

Very nice build. My spousal unit asked me to make one for her father who is pushing 92. I have same table saw as you. Might cut my 45’s on that. What are the dimensions of the box please? Thank you!
