Guys if you want to go to an animal Cafe in Korea, make sure they are not abusing the animals. There are a lot of neglect, stressed animals, and plain abuse, too. Of course there are a lot of ethical cafes too, and I would recommend shelter cafes, where the animals are mostly strays and up to adoption.

I've seen some videos where different stores that have animals as an attraction will neglect them. One I saw was a resteraunt that kept Raccoons. They kept them on used old puppy pads and they had flies swarming around them. But these places are better, I'm glad to see the animals looking much better here. Also Ive never seen one that had sheep! Thats adorable

I knew a guy who owned domesticated raccoons (3rd generation and bred carefully), and he invite me over to his house, and the raccoon was like a pudgy little man who just wanted to put his hands all over me. It was like a insanely curious cat with zero personal space.

Haha, my dad has his own raccoon café in his backyard! They will interrupt their day sleeping to sit next to your chair during a family barbecue, and just wait politely for their own serving.
The cats are always deeply offended by the entitlement 😂

The meerkat one scares me, sometimes they steal your items… there’s even a warning to keep your belongings away when you visit the cafe

as a zookeeper, meerkat cafe set off so many alarm bells. meerkats can get so aggressive and violent, especially to zookeepers who think they're cute and try to hand-feed them. you never know when a wild animal will snap.

As someone who has taken care of meerkats for a zoo, it terrifies me that untrained people are so close to them. Like, they may look cute, but those suckers have the highest rate of homicide of any animal.
