Travis's dad was wearing a wolf mask. Wich shows that the man who killed Sal's mother was part of the cult. Most likely the leader at the time.

I never understood the whole game's story because I kept forgetting what happened after each episode got released but watching this made the narrative clear to me so thank you!!

im actually pretty pissed that no one believed him, like the least they could've done was investigate the whole apartment complex, Sally literally gave all of the information on where he found the cult stuff, AND the hideout, not only that but the rooms and places where he found dead bodies and more, it's pretty sad actually, it feels like no one cared, and yeah he killed people but there is still a crap ton of proof

One thing that could be added is that Travis may not only helped the group out due to having befriended Sally as a teen, but because Travis might be in love with Sally, as during the scene where he cries in the toilet stall you can find a love letter in the bin that is speculated to be addressed to Sally, and because it's heavily hinted at that his father is abusing him, shown by Travis having a black eye in his teens

I feel like skipping the part with travis in the bathroom was a mistake, since that really gives an insight as to why he sacrificed himself to stop his dad and why he acted the way he did towards the griup. that scene was really important in explaining who travis is and who he is in relation to the other characters.

i feel like sal’s execution is partially ash’s fault. let me explain before you hate on me. first of all, ash had known them for years prior to the mass murder done by sal, so how wouldn’t she believe him? second of all, how do you decide to see if sal is telling the truth by going in the treehouse ON THE DAY OF HIS EXECUTION?! she had THREE YEARS where she could have checked it out. in fact, she could’ve checked it out even before the trial! third of all, they literally had maple being corrupted as full proof that not only was sal telling the truth when he said he had to kill them, but it also proves the existence of the ghosts.

Man this took me back. I played this game all the way through and loved it. Hated the ending though. Never made sense to me. Just no backing for the occult stuff like Larry traveling through the void even though he’s already dead, and the other ghosts never aging just… Eh. Everything else is good though. Just… Wish the game backed up some of the lore better and it felt like a lot was just tossed in. Excited for a sequel though.

The best part about the entire story is, you, the viewer, are never sure if the cult and deamon things actually happened.
Or if the group of friends all had dillusions, either from mental troubles or from taking drugs together.

I wish this was a show or something I mean it’s Truely horrifying and disturbing but it is a wonderful story with many emotional moments being sad or scary or even happy sometimes this game is underrated and not that well known but it deserves more attention

I see a lot of people missing this, Clare Nettles ( the journalist talking to sal) Is actually also an impostor replaced by the cult like Charley and Dr. Enon, we see the real Clare Nettles on the news in chapter 4 on tv in Todd and Sal's house. It's not that important but it helps the story make more sense and shows how the cult got a big grasp on everyone around, also Travis actually had feelings for Sally and that was completely skipped over in the video when it is in fact a big reason why he helped in the first place. His dad being the cult leader and an overall religious person would never have accepted his son being homosexual, hence why Travis resorted in bullying and lashing out at Sally when Sal told him '' You kiss your daddy with that tongue ? ''

I was so hurt by the ending to be honest.. it felt sad and unrewarding, though the ultimate evil had been defeated, nothing truly got fixed.. two characters still dead, Todd still going mad, and Ashley is just gonna be Ashley.. and that just feels sad to me

Soda's death was the most heartbreaking one in my opinion, she was THAT young when she died, i know Sally didn't have any choice but you can't help but cry and feel so much remorse for Soda

Sally Face and Fran Bow were part of my horror phase when I was young.
I still love horror, and I hold those two games very dearly <3
