When this eruption occurred and then everyone was saying it was a mistake, I checked multiple sources on August 26 and the advisories still stated the fl700. This was two days after the eruption. Almost three days because it was very late on August 26 when I was researching this. Everywhere I looked was the same. Two days after the eruption and the fl was not corrected. So it took them three days to figure out there was a problem?
Also, there were two advisories for the 70, 000 ft eruption. So, did they make the same mistake twice? Twice did they wait three days to correct the mistake?
And another item to note. Volcano Discovery issued a notification that they had stated the fl700 wrong. The wording of the statement is very telling in itself.

If you see the pictures of the eruption, you will notice the smoke goes up at least 4 times the size of the volcano. Since the volcano is roughtly 9900ft tall, to me the smoke went at least 50 thousand feet up in the sky.

I have long wanted to corroborate the story/history of Joseph/famine with the GSM and I believe that I have at least a good argument for, if not adequate evidence, that there was A GSM (based upon Dynastic cycling in Chinese culture) that preceded the fall of the Xia dynasty. A dynasty correction (reset for the then civilization) was instigated in 1700 BC from Xia to the Shang dynasty which figures prominently in the cycling of the sun. Joseph's famine was 1708 BC to 1701 BC with various archeological supporting such a famine at that time. It is also interesting that the siege of Rome by the Ostrogoths (which failed miserably ostensibly eliminating them as a people group) was in 538 during another GSM. Both figure prominently as prophetic waymarks according to the Bible.
