Thanks for this. There's so many settings, that I've just been following my interest with different short videos rather than trying to learn every setting. A lot of the settings you talk about are available through the "Fn" button. I think it helps for a new user to start there.

Thanks for sharing the basic settings, so that I can find what works best for me. I am getting a Sony a 6100 for Christmas and I want to make sure that I can set it up for success. Though I have taken photos for quite a while--on a Nikon and then a few Canons--moving to a Sony was kind of my dream. I think this video was a great walk through .. I am a beginner and know nothing about this camera. Your voice is calm and steady which helps to focus and retain content. My only suggestion would be to have something to actually focus on in front of the camera - the white screen does little to help see what you are changing .. even just a soda can. Otherwise, so helpful, thank you so much!
