In the Delhi liquor fraud case, the Enforcement Directorate will examine BRS leader K Kavitha once more. According to sources, Kavitha was questioned about burning her phone on March 20. The BRS leader said she had her phone destroyed. One of the key politicians being investigated in the Delhi liquor scam is K Kavitha. She is said to be an important member of the South group that allegedly paid kickbacks to the AAP in exchange for favourable liquor licence terms.K Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, recorded her statements with the investigating officer for a second time on Monday after initially refusing to submit to the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in the Delhi liquor "scam" case until the Supreme Court had concluded hearing her request to restrain the agency. She was called back on Tuesday after the interrogation, which lasted more than 10 hours. She ignored her most recent summons, which was for March 16, stating that she would not report to the agency until the SC had decided on her motion for a stay of the ED proceedings. The SC will hear Kavitha's plea on March 24. The ED had requested to appear on March 20 after rejecting her plea. In the money laundering case investigating alleged payments of Rs 100 crore by the "south group" to AAP officials in exchange for favours to control the distribution of alcoholic beverages in the nation's capital, Kavitha spent about nine hours on March 11 recording her remarks. Kavitha was allegedly represented by Arun Pillai, who is currently in detention, in the south group, according to the ED's earlier claims in court papers. Kavitha and YSR Congress MP from Ongole Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy are allegedly benefactors of the "south group," a cartel in charge of regulating booze delivery in Delhi, which the agency had earlier claimed paid Rs 100 crore in bribes to AAP leaders.
