I usually use my setting mist as a PRIMING step. When I do, I dont end up seeing my makeup balling up like this.

My favorite thing to do is spray just my foundation with rose water and blend it than after my face is done, I will spray with rose water and dab, gives that glowy look, and foundation looks flawless

Use just water.
Distilled water and a pinch of glycerin and you have a no crease spray. I use in between all layers and I use it just as the last step, works great either way

Isnt the whole point of applying after powder to make it look like skin again though? Or Maybe thats just for basic prep/refresh/set sprays and not SETTING sprays.

Been telling this to clients for years and took me ages to convince them. I do not use setting spray ever

I used to have that problem all the dang time. I tried poreless primers, sticky primers, nothing worked.

So I changed up my routine. Now before I apply makeup I always put down a layer of lightweight moisturizer.

(I love the Neutrogena Hydroboost. I’ve been using it for years because I have acne-prone oily-combo skin)

After that I generously apply a semi-dewy prime + set spray like one from ELF or NYX (been particularly into the ELF one lately)

No problems. Smooth as butter and everything blends and feels comfortable and not cakey. Thx for sharing ur hacks!
