I have 2010 Corolla with the VSC and slip control lights on, no check engine or ABS lights. A scan from Auto Zone noted a zero point code. This process worked for me. I'll still have to get an alignment as my front tires have uneven wear but it sure helps a ton I don't have to pay for a computer diagnostic. Thank you, sir.

Thanks for your informative videos Paul. I watched all 4 parts of your videos and was able to clear them after removing the battery cables for at least 5 minutes, reconnecting them and restarting the engine and it worked without doing the other steps. I have 2009 Toyota Sienna. God bless you for taking your time to provide clear instructions video to help out so many people like me.

I can't believe after almost 2 years, NONE of the mechanics even considered doing this. I've had a non-functional rear driver side brake this entire time, along with no traction control/vsc and the car would keep pushing when I came to a stop. I had to put the car in N at stoplights so it wouldn't keep pushing. Not only that, I wasn't getting any regenerating so the best my mileage would be is 20-23mpg over 100 miles or so. Now, I'm getting mid 20's - low 30's for mpg on average, I have traction control again, it even just rides smoother, more even. The local Toyota dealership told me that I would have to pay about $350 just to put it up on the lift and read the engine codes. You just saved me hundreds, potentially thousands. I know this video is 6 years old but thank you thank you, thank you so much!

Paul your advice in this video was spot on!!! Thanks so much you saved me hundreds of dollars I’m sure. Scenario: 07 tundra lifted with big mud tires. Tires were rotated at dealership and caused vsc, brake, and slippery surface light to come on. They should have recalibrated my sensors but didn’t. Took it back to have them check if it was anything they did or didn’t do and they want to charge another $103 just to look under the truck (Classic Toyota North Wilkesboro, NC). I tried your advice and fixed the problem instantly!!!! Thanks a

I went through these videos after the local shop handed us an estimate of $1412.59 to solve our indicator light issue. They hooked up their OBD and interpreted the results to mean that the catalytic converter was probably disintegrating, causing a temperature differential that was triggering the system warning lights. They wanted to replace the two sensors (oxygen and temp) and to replace the exhaust manifold as well (which integrates the cat. converter). I had my doubts, however, as the car had full power and normal engine temperature. I went through Paul's videos in order and solved the problem in about an hour. Thanks, Paul! You gotta love the age of information!

After the reset, the car idle was rough for the first 25 miles as the computer idle compensation had to recalibrate. Now everything is perfect.

Most of this video was above my level of expertise, but the last bit at the end about the auto window switch fixed an issue I've had since the dealer replaced my clock spring. The airbag light was flashing and the window was effed up. Thanks for being thorough in this, to cover ALL potential issues.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! The dealership in Grand Blanc Michigan wanted to charge several hundred dollars to replace parts that were already replaced before they would reset the lights. your method worked great and they have not come on again. Thank you so much.

It's so good to see someone dedicated to the most reliable car in the world. Still sometimes you need to fix things. Sydney, Australia.

Thank you very very much for posting this video had the lights on for days went to my mechanic and was told it would take hours for him to diagnose the problem and it would be over $200 I choose not to do it came home and went online and there was your video even though I wasn't sure if I was doing it right it freaking worked like a charm not sure if it will come back but I'm very thankful to you

Worked like a champ. VSC light came on when I did the brakes. This was the fix as I knew nothing was wrong with the system or vechicle.

My 2004 Sienna started with Check Engine, VSC, Trac Off combined ON without trouble code for awhile; then, one day P0420 code was added, of course it failed emission test. After struggling, I replaced the Bank 1 catalytic converter because oscillating rear O2 sensor reading. New catalytic converter fixed the problem right away; it did not only take P0420 code away, it took Check Engine, VSC, and Trac Off away as well. Now the van runs fine with clean dashboard. I thought it was weird that fixing emission problem took away traction related codes as well but I am not complaining.

Thanks Paul. It took me to video 4 before the lights cleared. It happened exactly as your video showed. I have a chitons repair manual for my 2006 highlander and no references to the wires in the diagnostic port. I decided to just do what you did since I think your vehicle is the same as mine. Lucky me it worked. Thanks again.
