I'm so happy to hear someone else recommend cutting out liquid intake around meals!!! You usually hear the opposite advice. I was diagnosed with "acid reflux disease" when I was 12 & was put in daily proton pump inhibitors (stomach acid reducers) ever since then & only in the last couple of years (I am almost 30) did I learn acid reflux disease is caused by TOO LITTLE stomach acid (your esophageal sphincter only closes when acid is high enough - if it never is, it never closes so what you have rises up your throat AND you barely digest anything because you don't have enough acid). So they just made my problem stick around by reducing the acid further & making my digestion SO bad my whole life. I could barely eat vegetables! Once I learned this I brought down my overall water intake (I drank a lot naturally) & STOPPED drinking with meals or 30mins before & after. Plus ACV before meals to support the acidic environment in my stomach but I did that anyway for insulin sensitivity. So it was mainly not drinking with meals & stopping the acid reducers.... after a week or so of hell, I have been fine since, unmedicated, & I digest EVERYTHING! All my off-limits vegetables & seedy things are back.

I am a 68 year old "powerlifter" but get a ton of info from your videos and I can't think of anyone on you tube I trust more.

Wow, John, at 1:06:30 min.... that's new for me since I didn't knew that most heart attacks occurs on Monday Mornings! But it makes a lot of sense of course, especially these days when stress is going out of control. Always learning new stuff from you John. Outside of training and nutrition, your overall knowledge is great! thanks John as always!
