Those engines are superb - did visit there myself a long time ago when still in the UK.You got some great footage there Emma. :)
Hope you keep on enjoying the trip - sore feet permitting!

Welcome to the UK Emma. looks like you had the place to yourself.
I exhibited some of my Stirling engines there on two occasions, great atmosphere with our display next to the engines in steam.
The large beam engine was also running.

Thanks for the tours and keep up the good work. I'm starting to map out our next England tour.

One gets the feeling that you are the only one interested in this stuff, I expected there to be far more tourists cluttering up the place. Great tour Emma thank you.

Nice job on the tour Emma. I went there a few years ago and it looks though they have done quite a bit more work since then. Have fun. Gary

As long as you have a pressure difference, you can pump for free. Almost -- second law of thermo applies. In the 19th century they discovered heat-operated pumps and in the 20th dynamos or oil firing... Times, as they say, change. But I love those old Victorian pump engines.

Hi Emma.  Really pleased that you're enjoying your visit to the UK.  I'm not sure if you may know, but there has been a series on UK tv called 'Industrial Revelations' (yes - revelations), presented by a guy named Mark Williams.  It's an amazing program for anyone interested in...   basically...   the industrial revolution and it's legacies and effects on people and societies etc.  I wasn't sure if it was on YT, but I had a quick look, and found this:

This is one episode of perhaps 10 series with 12 in a series, so plenty look and marvel at.  I hope you continue to enjoy our excellent country.  Regards Mark in the UK
