I think you could have spent a few seconds on the incident with the USS Liberty: On the fourth day of the Six Day War, Israel strafed and torpedoes a flagged U.S. Navy intelligence ship in international waters that was monitoring the war. Johnson couldn't make a big deal out of it because he didn't want to lose the support of American Jews who were supporting the Vietnam War. In 1968, the Israelis paid the U.S. $3.32 million to compensate the families of the 34 Sailors who lost their lives in the attack, which considering the aid Israel was receiving for the war, was pretty much just giving us some of our own money back.

I think the fact that Israel could attack a U.S. Navy ship without any real consequences really demonstrates just how unconditional the U.S. support for Israel has historically been.

It's not anti-semetic to be against civilian mass death. Idk how this even could be the case considering one of the main reasons people try to stand up for Jews is because they faced civilian mass death in WWII. Like bro. The whole point is that is a consistent thing people are not in favour of if they have a reasonable respect for fellow humans.

Once had to convince someone my boycotting companies that give to Israel, the big ones and personally as much as I can in the US, was brinking on becoming anti-semetic. Like, what? Did I say I was boycotting all Jewish businesses? No. Am I mad about how our taxes are spent? Yeah, duh. I hate zionism, and killing people for land, not Jewish people or Jewish faith. (The convo actually ended up going well, as the person was against Civilian death and the methods of Israel--but still had some internal bias conflating anti-Israel anything with anti-all Jews, which just isn't true. Just ask the Jews who are against what is happening and being done by Israel.)

And whether you are pro Palestine, Pro Israel, or somewhere else--that doesn't make you not Jewish.

I’m a NH voter and I’m honestly relieved to see so much of the older population dying off out here. I know it sounds harsh but when they continually block us from rebuilding our crumbling libraries and schools but claim they’re all for family values…. You get a little tired of it.
