I know the hurt with that model chevy, I bought a Ray buck patch panel and just put it on the outside with panel adheasive, I think this is how it should be done in the budget realm. I dont know how to get the pic up here.

You know, having just pulled the entire wheel well out of the left side of a Dakota box, and having had to replace the inner wheel tub and fabricate the outer one out of sheet and pieces of flange from wheel arch patch panels, and THEN replacing the outer wheel arches on both sides, I’m tempted to say that the way these damn things are designed, a guy should be better off doing what you just did on a NEW truck. Cut out the outer skins so they don’t touch the inner fender at all, and cover the hole with plastic flares. The drainage would be way better and dirt wouldn’t collect in that stupid pinch-point.
