R188 7 Train to Flushing - Main st announcements [via Flushing local - from Queensboro Plaza]

On 11/9/13, the first R188 train ran in passenger service on the 7 line. I was able to record the announcements, so enjoy! I will post the full announcement program from Times Square and to

Its amazing how you hear three different people in one announcement:

Kathleen Campion - "This is a Flushing..."
Catherine Cowdery - "The Next Stop Is..."
Annie Bergen - "[insert station name here]"

The only part that is original is the station names. Everything else is not the original announcements that was on the R142/A's in 2000. Annie Bergen also did/does the announcements for the 42nd Street Shuttle.

When the AirTrain to LGA opens, the Q48 will not be needed to connect with the (7) and <7> anymore. Not even at 111th Street or Willets Point, not even Main Street. The LIRR Mets-Willets Point station would also have to become a full-service station, rather than being an event-only station.

The announcement would be "This is: Mets-Willets Point. Connection is available to the Long Island Rail Road, and AirTrain to LaGuardia Airport." (Just don't forget the "Transfer is available to the 7 local/express train" before the AirTrain connection announcement when it's the Manhattan-bound rush hours only).

Someone messed up. For the announcement, when at 74 St, they forgot to mention the M train and the Q33 to LGA as well.

Nice video and a typical 7 train passenger would first hear the A, C, & F lines Kathleen Campion for This is a Flushing or a Manhattan bound 7 train then the N-R lines Catherine Cowdery for  next stop announcement then the original voice of the 7 train Annie Bergen for the station stops themselves. Perhaps the MTA should have Annie Bergen do the entire 7 train announcements rather than 3 separate announcers.

In the recording its missing that when the train is in Mets- Willets Point and Flushing- Main St it should say connection to the LIRR
