Semi-pro tip for G29 (and similar) users: Map the cross key (on the left of the wheel) to navigate the black boxes. Left/Right changes the black box, while up/down cycles through the options within the black box. Then map the 4 buttons on the right side of the wheel so that the top and bottom (triangle and "X") buttons increase/decrease the selected value and either the left or right button (circle or square) to trigger toggle-only values like a tire change. Use the remaining button (circle or square) for something like PTT for voice chat/radio or the "Sorry" prompt or something.

I use the rotary control for brake bias while the "Enter" key in the middle of that rotary control is mapped externally to PTT/voice recognition in the CrewChief app. The L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons are mapped for things like Pit Speed Limiter, visor tear-off (open wheels cars), headlight flash, etc., and may change depending on what needs controlling in the car. The up/down buttons in the lower-left I eventually mapped to fuel usage controls in the more advanced GT and formula cars so I can change fuel usage on-the-fly during longer races. The buttons at the bottom (PS, Start, Option) are difficult to reach with both hands on the wheel and are difficult to locate by feel so they go unused.

Mapped in that way, even VR users can find their way around the buttons on the wheel and not be so reliant on KB/Mouse controls for the black boxes and other advanced car controls.

And what about changing transparency of the UI? Is there a way to make it less transparent?

Can we please move the boxes without needing them to appear? Such as starting green light, flags, and text boxes. The only way we can move those is to wait for them to appear for 3 seconds and quickly move them while in driving the car.

what about the users who don't use a full size keyboard. how can i change the ctrl + pageup and page down options ?

how we in 2020 dont have the option to have more then one blackbox on the screen is beyond me. at least give me an option to have the relative as blackbox and one additional for other stuff. in some ways the age of iracings interface is so apparent.
