About the chant:
Te Deum laudamus, (Latin: “God, We Praise You”, )also called Te Deum, Latin hymn to God the Father and Christ the Son, traditionally sung on occasions of public rejoicing. According to legend, it was improvised antiphonally by St. Ambrose and St. Augustine at the latter’s baptism. It has more plausibly been attributed to Nicetas, bishop of Remesiana in the early 5th century, and its present form—equal sections devoted to the Father and Son, a half-clause to the Holy Spirit, followed by a litany—fit in historically with part of the Arian controversy (over the nature of Christ) of the 4th century. Much of the text is composed of traditional statements of belief; and unlike most hymns, it is prose.

Chant Text:
Te deum laudamus te dominum confitemur
Te aeternum patrem omnis terra veneratur
Tibi omnes angeli Tibi caeli et universae potestates
Tibi cherubim et seraphim incessabili voce
proclamant
Sanctus sanctus sanctus dominus deus sabaoth
ecclesia
Patrem inmense maiestatis
Venerandum tuum verum unicum filium
Sanctum quoque paraclytum spiritum
Tu rex gloriae christe
Tu patris sempiternus es filius
Tu ad liberandum suscepisti hominem non
horruisti virginis uterum
Tu devicto mortis aculeo aperuisti credentibus
regna caelorum
pretioso sanguine redemisti
Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis gloria munerari
Salvum fac populum tuum domine et benedic hereditati tuae
Et rege eos et extolle illos usque in aeternum
Per singulos dies benedicimus te
Et laudamus nomen tuum in saeculum et in
saeculum saeculi
Dignare domine die isto, sine peccato nos custodire
Miserere nostri domine miserere nostri
Fiat misericordia tua domine super nos
quemadmodum speravimus in te
In te domine speravi non confundar in aeternum

"Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament … There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, & the true way of all your loves upon earth." J.R.R. Tolkien

Our Holy Mother, Queen of the Men and Angels, ora pro nobis. Let the men of goodwill knee before the King of the Universe, and let us persevere in the good battle.

Memorised the entire te deum in Latin (as well as Pater Noster, Domine in Adiutorium, the Credo and the Gloria) - and I repeat it out-loud, daily. A great comfort. (Also helpful for learning Latin, but that’s a different story.)

I want to thank you for posting this chant. Since day 1 I think that there wasn't a single day that I didn't hear it. Not only that: a couple weeks ago I've started singing along at the end of the Office of Readings in sundays, feasts and solemnities and have been helping me a lot in prayer. Thanks a lot! Happy New Year and Merry Christmas
