There are few places that entice the imagination quite like England. Just a little island off the western coast of continental Europe, it boasts a rich history that stretches all the way back to the first modern humans.
Since then, entire societies have risen and fallen as people learned to make flint and bone tools, bury their dead, and fortify their cities against foreign raiders.
From the fearsome Celtic warriors of prehistory to the clever inventors and statesmen of the modern era, England’s story is one bursting with magnificent castles, complex kings and queens, rebellious peasants, and horrifying plagues.
Throughout history, more people have called England home than perhaps most of us have ever realized.

I was 7 when Robin Of Sherwood tv series was shown in NZ… fast forward to ‘91 when Kevin Costner brought it to the big screen… I assumed Robin (from Batman) started doing good things in the forest before he got to Gotham City…

He may have been a real person, but because the tales about him were oral, they became lost and distorted. But he was a Noble who stood up for fairness and justice⚖. I saw the Robin Hood 2006 Tv 📺series almost two decades ago and the actor Jonas Armstrong was magnificent👍 in his portral as the handsome😍, brave, and heroic outlaw

I still believe he's a real person but then again the reference to a whole group makes just as much sense

And thank you so much for this video in particular Robinhood has been an inspiration for me for years

Like many legends, I tend to lean towards an amalgamation of several people whose names and actual deeds may not ever be known.

I believe that Robin Hood was a real person. And that he was a hero to many people.

Robin of Locksley was absolutely a real person, after returning from the crusades, he came home to find treachery and usury rampant, oppressing his countryman.

Documentaries in 2854: “Tales of Karen the Entitled have existed for centuries. But was this woman who demanded to talk to managers a real person?”

Sorry but historically inaccurate after the first minute. Geoffrey was The son who rebelled against the king first. Richard and John had an older brother after all.

The story of Robin Hood is probably made up ?
Compiled from many other stories ?
His real name was probably Robert ?
The men in the Sherwood forrest was probably gay men ?
Chased out of the surrounded areas ?
Fair Mary was probably a Whitch ? Expelled to the Sherwood forrest, but maybe years before ?
She died there as an old spinster ?
There is no findings to support the story ?
A made up story based on several men with similar names?(Robert something?)
Robin Hood was also the tale of a green spirit that helped the poor, and often left Things outside their porch.
Robin was in reality a woman's name in that century ?(Could the story be based on a woman ?)
Just like the story about "King Arthur", it falls apart when being scrutinized ?

Robin Hood as well as King John and his father would be called "black" or "colored" by todays standards, don't take my word for anything do the research. There's a reason modern day historians try to say people like Shakespeare or Robin Hood may have never existed, because when you research deeply these people are what we would call today "negro". For example see the oldest bust of Shakespeare or how a critic in his time described him as a "Crow". Also researching the oldest depictions and lineages of certain royal families(yes even within Eurasia)you will come to the same conclusions.
