I remember how I was in absolute shock when I first saw that intro. How they'd fit THAT into a Genesis cartridge remained my biggest question for a big while.

My jaw was to the floor the day I saw that opening cutscene. It really gave me promise that would be later be shattered with the game's premise.

Not gonna lie, when my first play this game along with three original Sonic trilogy on Mega Collection on GameCube as 10 year old kid in 2004. Those 3D graphic intro scene always blew my mind that how even Sega Genesis make amazing impressive 3D graphic.

It's kinda sad how the sonic game that gives me the most nostalgia was the death of the genesis and this was my favorite song from the game

Tbh this reminds me of Sonic 3 with how the first few seconds are before the music explodes into its melody

In my option this is the 2th best intro music in retro Sonic game series. The number one for me is Sonic 3 & Knuckles intro music.
