VGRestore Ep14: NES in Parts & Faulty Cartridge

preview_player
Показать описание
This NES came in a large lot of parts for various consoles. I figured it would need an IC chip replaced but it fired up after a good cleaning.

The NES cartridge was purchased as not working for repair and it needed a good clean, a new capacitor, and two internal cartridge posts glued.

i stopped using super glue for fixing broken plastic as it turns brittle with heat and age, my repairs would just break again with little effort. now i use Tamiya ABS plastic glue but really any of the Tamiya plastic glues work brilliantly at chemically melting the plastic back together again and leaving it looking like new and stronger than ever before. it just requires a little patience to let it go off completely but its ideal for anything thats going to take strain like screw posts and pcb supports.

I had hacked a 360 dvd firmware out of the box back in the day. Just ran it without the top and unplugged the dvd drive when I wanted to go online so they couldn't catch me playing dirty.

TLDR top cover is optional. Let it be a convertable.
