Introduction to Genetic Algorithm, Optimization Lecture 54

Binary genetic algorithm and its use in function maximization and optimization is explained. The ability of binary GA to find global optimal points and handle discrete and integer design variables is highlighted. Genetic algorithms use selection, reproduction, crossover and mutation operators to improve the fitness of the members of the design space. Genetic algorithms can find global minimum points.
