Replikasi daur litik
Perkembangbiakan virus atau replikasi virus untuk siklus litik merupakan siklus reproduksi pada virus yang puncaknya ditandai dengan matinya sel inang setelah DNA virus mengambil alih metabolisme sel inang DNA virus.
Daur litik adalah siklus reproduksi atau replikasi genom virus, yang pada akhirnya akan menyebabkan kematian bagi sel inang tempat virus hidup. Virus hanya dapat melakukan replikasi pada siklus ini atau dengan kata lain disebut dengan virus virulen.
