Althrough this song looks like it's talking about a cold blooded general (henre the pic, planes and such, i myself thought about that), this song is based on a book called "1984", which is based on communist propaganta about 'Big Brother', a nickname used by Stalin while he was a candidate in the elections. In 1984, Big Brother is an artificial intelligence programmed to control everything you do in every moment, but presented as a "good guy", saying how all he wants to do is "make sure you're okay"
