I learned all about the dark and deep web in my criminal investigations class in college and how so many crimes are committed there. We had a whole chapter and week dedicate to cybercrimes, which was very fascinating and kinda morbid at the same time, but that was the whole class as well

As an Italian myself, I can tell you Italy has got an astonishing number of revenge/hate crimes where former lovers/partners throw acid on the face of the other to disfigure them. The majority are men and former boyfriends who are jealous of their girlfriends, or hate them because they left them, but there have been women too and simply “admirers” who weren’t loved back by their obsession.

I have one issue, the dark web is not everything except 8-10% of the internet.

Yes, that is an accurate number for the surface web, but didn't exclude non-indexed sites.

Facebook, for example, will have almost all of their pages 'hidden' as they are not indexed.

We have no idea how large the dark web is, but this statistic is misleading
