Echo And The Bunnymen perform "Lips Like Sugar" live at the Bat Bar in Austin, TX during the 2007 SXSW music festival. "Lips Like Sugar" is a single which was released in August 1987. It was the second single from their 1987 eponymous album.

Man, the 80s new wave bands are timeless music of our lifetime. Echo & The Bunnymen represents that era and the many British artist that made the 80s a glorious era of the British invasion. I grew up listening to new wave in the 80s and they never fade away. This is my band, my music, and my era.

How can one song have so many hooks that just grab you? I was in grad school when this album came out. I still have the CD. One note--the chime harmonic--and it all comes back.

1987 was the best year of my teenage life. I went out with this super cute blonde valley girl in OC Cali and she loved this band. She ended up leaving her cassette in my car too.
