Very good tut, thanks. Ill add abit to it, if you make leafs for UE then amount of alpha on your leafs metters, it causes overdraw. Its allways a good idea to make alpha area as small as possible while keeping polycount as lower as possible

This was really nicely done. Thanks. I've struggled to do hand modeled/procedural trees in blender for months and within minutes i got a nice looking tree with this tutorial. The only thing i'd love to see more of is explanation of how to optimize game ready trees from within speed tree. Even my "low poly" is coming out at 100, 000 tris. When aiming for games do you fundamentally change your work flow (ie less branches, segmentation, using alpha branches as opposed to alpha leaves?) or do you have other means of reducing poly count after building it the way in the tutorial?

It would be great if you could make a video for rigging the Brack calipers. I searched a lot but couldn't find any videos.

thanks for your videos, I like everything, maybe you have an idea how I could set up the alternate separation of these leaves from the tree? I want them to really fall off in UE..

Hi, thanks for this great tutorial, do I need to have an active subscription to use them in any UE project or after export I can use them anytime, anywhere?

That’s just way too many polys for a game though. How do you simplify your poly count?

What is SpeedTree? Is this part of Unreal, a plugin, or a stand-alone app? No links to it either, what is this SpeedTree your using?
