Very nice, ChoirChoirChoir, but this is one of those tunes where the original artist cannot be surprassed.  Joni, you're my idol, sorry if that's passe', but that's the way it is...

The deep sadness at the heart of this Joni Mitchell song - and so many other Joni Mitchell songs - cannot be conveyed in a feel good choral version. So, in this, I agree fully with Patrick Pierquet, but it is not just about the original against a cover. It's the contradiction between a song of deep loneliness and a big, companionable singalong.
