What if Jimi Hendrix really isn’t dead but instead was abducted by alien robots? I really like the way Quentin Tarantino changes history for his movies. Both “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Inglorious Basterds” come to mind. After seeing the former, I started constructing my own “alternate history” and considered that maybe Jimi Hendrix didn’t really die of an overdose in 1970, but instead, after picking Miles Davis’ and Coltrane’s brains (Coltrane actually died in 1967, but it’s my alternate history so..), he went into the mountains as a recluse to woodshed modal music but got abducted by alien robots, who he played music with as they traveled through a black hole. At 00:40 check out how Jimi and the Robot have a little conversation and they both laugh at the robot’s joke at 1:20. Anyway, I recorded this as a test and like the way it turned out but didn’t even consider videoing myself so I just edited together a fantasy video of robots and the cosmos.
