Christopher Plummer was my first crush ever. He was handsome as Captain Van Trapp

Just heard the news of Christopher's passing. So sad ... What a loss. RIP Mr. Plummer, and thank you for your art, your class, and your contributions.

Poor Julie must be so sad now that he's gone. As am I. What a legend he was.

This interview was 40 years after the movie, yet Julie Andrews had retained so much of her youth and beauty.

Julie Andrews carries Christopher Plummer in this interview. She is so kind, mindful of her questions, lets him talk about himself which she knows he does best, and flatters him. Somewhere in her youth or childhood, Julie learned respect and manners and shows the ultimate in class. Not to mention having a voice like an angel, an incredible ability to act, a great sense of humor, and remains visually fresh and “loverly.”

The interesting thing about seeing Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer together again 40 years after the movie, is that both of them were still such vibrant and beautiful people. They could have made another love story together in 2005, and it would have been as endearing to audiences as "The Sound of Music" was, in its own way.

"Actually I don't know about you but I sort of liked it." Julie admitting she enjoyed singing so close to him. I watched the movie last night and cried and here I am crying again. Such beauty, innocence, and also a profound message about love over evil. These two souls are beyond magical. I'm just in awe.

My favourite movie of all time! Christopher Plummer is so handsome and refined! Julie Andrews is so refreshing and gentle!

Now this is one of the most wonderful interviews I've watched. Leave the 3rd party interviewer out and leave the stars to themselves to discuss their work. Julie & Christopher did a woderful job interviewing each other.

“We fell in love, and it wasn’t difficult to fall in love. Not with you, darling, the way you looked.” …my heart!! ❤️

The way they look at each other at the end with so much love and adoration. And then Christopher pats her hand fondly as they smile at each other. 🥲🥺 One of the great duos of our time, hope I'll have a friendship like this one day. RIP Christopher Plummer, you're greatly missed. ♥️

Just love the movie and Julie and Christopher. So much chemistry. In other clips they admit they really fell in love but didn't act on it.. You can still see that💖

It’s so wonderful to hear the way these two professionals speak. Somewhat Transatlantic. So lush. They sound nothing like the way actors speak today. Such beautiful diction, elocution and articulation. This all comes from training, discipline and a great deal of study. None of this is taught anymore. Actors sound like rappers now and are full of profanities, cussing and swearing. People have become very cheap these days. This is because we are all trying to dumb everything down for the ordinary person instead of raising the ordinary person up to a finer level or way of being. Andrews & Plummer are a masterclass in class.

I am 43 years old and I STILL want to be Julie Andrews when I grow up!! And I’ve said that since I was probably able to complete sentences - around 2-3 years old. I just worship her!! And I love Plummer, too. 💗
