Hey! As a fellow maharashtrian, I like your content and I like the diversity you bring to social media, while representing India, but I beg to differ on this particular reel/shorts. I, and I’m sure many fellow Indians/south Asians, make rasmalai tres leches and chai tiramisu all the while. I enjoy the original creations and I enjoy them with a hint of fusion, so why not? I take it as cultural appreciation rather than cultural appropriation. Presumably Chai Spices are clove/cardamom etc. that go in a masala chai. If they put those spices in the ice cream, then the name is accurate- i.e., the ice cream has spices. The name of the spices are "Chai Spice" - the name doesn't technically mean that it has chai or chai flavor.

I think from the name, the concept was to incorporate chai spices like cardamom, cloves etc. which we use and not chai leaves itself.. that’s how pumpkin spice mix is sold in US as well.. I really don’t know how it tasted and definitely not saying that they made it taste authentic and/or great.. just my interpretation.. 😊😊
and to be honest, it’s okay to try new flavours as far as it’s decent and not obnoxious..
