Laser Cleaning a Motorcycle Frame | BMW R60/5

Since I've been disassembling many components on the BMW R60/5 rebuild project, it's time to share with you something else today. I've been working behind the scenes to get a proper corner set up in the shop for future videos on laser cleaning, but this one will be in the middle of the shop as I'm not quite done.
Once the corner is done it'll be much more presentable and hopefully, the quality will show in my upcoming videos.
In today's video, I have the BMW R60/5 frame, rear frame section, and the swingarm in front of me. I've already cleaned the swingarm beforehand and it's ready to be prepped for some quality primer. The frame and rear frame section must be cleaned from paint, primer and obviously some rust which has been forming over the years.
For this, I have a special technology which happens to be laser cleaner. If you watch the video all the way until the end you will see what this machine is capable of cleaning and in upcoming videos, I'll share more insights on this machine. Stay Tuned

I just came across your video on the R60. Fantastic work. I've never heard of a lazar for removing paint. I'm surprised it did burn the cardboard under the frame. I always used a sand blaster on frames but that was the way to go in the 1970's. A lot messy than your lasar.

Probably every r series airhead series bike has cracks in those areas. They don’t seem to have any affect on handling or frame longevity.

Can you tell us how you dealt with the two cracked pieces the laser paint remover uncovered. I’ve looked around on your other videos but didn’t see how you dealt with them. How did they turn out? Did you have to compress the two sides together to get the correct dimensions?
