In an ideal world, EA having competition would mean they’d actually put effort into the next sims release, but I doubt very much that’ll be the case. They know people will buy whatever sh*t they come out with

Competition is healthy. It pushes companies to do better and to treat their customers right. EA needs that push to do better, my only concern with all this Competition is that if The Sims doesn't perform well, EA might scrap the game completely. It happened with Sims City when Paradox outperform them with City Skylines.

I remember the ol days of The Sims 4 where they didn’t even have pools. Theres so much thing that they exclude from the game when it was released because they didn’t care much due to no competitor.

Now the game starts. Lets see how The Sims team handle this with TWO new competitors. To be honest, Paralives seems very promising because they showcase update like no other sim company do. Then theres Live by You, by Paradox, which is a reputable company for simulation games. I just can’t wait to see this war coming. 😂

I definitely think competition is a good thing - competition will help ensure that game companies really work to fix bugs and make products that players want. Plus instead of having to be obsessed with just one game, I'll have a variety to be obsessed with. ^^; Sounds like a win-win to me!

Hopefully, it means they'll try to lower prices to make more money. Or at least fix the bugs

EA has been taking the mick out of us for YEARS. People have been spending HUNDREDS of pounds on overpriced, poor quality DLCs - some of which don‘t work AT ALL. It‘s daylight robbery at this point. Competing life simulators are desperately NEEDED so that we can stop feeding EAs greed and enjoy gaming again without getting ripped off 😤

As thrilled as I am for Paralives, the people thinking that this is gonna make EA change, I’m sorry to break it to you but EA is 1. The worst (they have an entire Wikipedia page dedicated to their controversies) 2. EAs got a habit of buying up (sometimes competitor) studios that are doing well (because they actually put effort into their games), run them into the ground with grind culture and then dump them once they go bankgrupt. So, ye, they haven’t changed and probably won’t. / Again, thrilled for this game but let’s be realistic here.
