people don't quit their jobs. people quit their managers. They're quitting Altman. The original board members that fired him must feel a bit vindicated. Engineers at OpenAI didn't support Altman's return out of loyalty... they are getting severely underpaid in exchange for equity stake in the company. They had no choice but to vote in favor of his return.
