I can't remember what, but something earlier today made me think of this scene, so I came back to watch it, after having not seen it since the actual day the episode aired. Booth's smile at the end makes me as happy now as it did that day.

The one eyerolling part about this situation is Bones thinking there's doubt about what happens next.

1) Booth has a son that his access to is poor because he was never married to Parker's mother. It's a sore issue for Booth.

2) Meaning, if he's about to be a father again... that situation isn't happening again. So...

3) Bones should have realistically calculated that telling Booth she's carrying his child...

4) ...she's gonna end up with a husband.

5) We already knew how Booth felt about Dr. Brennan. Dr. Sweets & Dr. Gordon Gordon were discussing that when Booth was having marksmanship trouble.

Booth, trying to conceal his feelings for an at-the-time oblivious Brennan, was struggling with repassing a qualification.

The suggestion was "Take Dr. Brennan with to the test." As her "knight-in-FBI-issue-kevlar" [as Angela put it], Booth won't fail if Bones is there.

The biggest disappointment in this real-life pregnancy being written into the show...

...we didn't get to enjoy an episode where an investigation is juxtaposed with the team finding out, one by one, that Bones is carrying a mini-Booth.

We are deprived of the reaction scenes.

One thing I noticed throughout the WHOLE series... David Boreanaz (Booth) CANNOT act 'Driving'.. I know they're not actually driving, BUT.. the sheer amount of time his eyes are not on the road ahead is... Frankly frightning! Lol. Pretty much HALF of the time he's driving he's either looking at Brennan, or to one side of the wind screen...
Just an observational thought... 😏
Apart from that, I know it's more of a female oriented series, but, yeah, this 52 year old 'Grumpy Brit Git' enjoyed it 😊

I'm very happy for them, but I don't understand how this whole pregnancy even happened in the first place. I just watched the last episode of season 6. If there's someone who could explain it to me, I would be very thankful.

I always wondered why Bones didn't look happy when she told Booth she was pregnant and he's the father. I mean Bones told Booth she wanted his baby in s4 finale. I thought she'd look more happy, like Booth speechless and smiling.
