It's Nostalgia. It help me when i was really sick with COVID March. 20 (no vaccins), 2 weeks at home in bed, hospitals fulls... Since that i opened a youtube channel, to return and express my gratitude. 🕹️♥

IMO the biggest pro of retro gaming is hindsight. You get to pick and choose the very best titles any given system has to offer. The ones that hold up no matter how much videogames progress over time. It's one of the biggest reasons I initially got into retro collecting. I thought, "if I could have the absolute best 25 or so games for the GBA I'd be sittin' pretty 🤔"

Love your positive attitude. Too bad retro collecting is also fighting to find for good prices while resellers and grading companies manipulate those prices making retro collecting an extremely expensive hobby now...

For me nostalgia has almost nothing to do with my passion for retro games. I just like playing them. For me what would be nostalgic is the Wii U because that was the only console I got to play.

I miss the days before Internet, when we used to buy magazines to know what new games released, have friends on our side to play multiplayer games, the games were only Physically, the sensation of the relesead of a new console or game.... Etc

Other than the prices cuz as someone whos been collecting aince 2015 the pricea have gotten absurd. I remember buying paper mario on n64 for 30 and thousand year door for like 35.now to get both it wpuld cost around 130
