I found it a little odd how Gabriel, who was always for the ineffable plan in the first series, would suddenly decide out of nowhere that he wasn't interested in carrying it out anymore. And not just that, renege on his fellow angels and God for something that is so inherently mortal as love. He was always presented as the unyielding angel, the one who would always keep the others in line, so why the change of heart?

When you say there isn’t an institutional problem. There’s probably an institutional problem. This show, and Hazbin Hotel, really did a great job at showing how both Hell AND Heaven can be flawed.
